Yagodinska Pestera - there are found about
140 caves and karst forms in the district of the Yagodinska Pestera.
The cave itself is
10 km long and is one of the ten most beautiful caves in Bulgaria.
It is located in the Rhodopi Mountain and is electrified. Some
of the formations inside resemble well-known characters as Santa
Clause, Snow-White and the seven dwarfs, Virgin Mary and her newborn
baby, Pizho and Penda, forms of animals and fantastic figures.
Diavolskoto Gurlo - the devil`s throat -
a secret or a mystery? The cave that swallows everything and never
turns it back. Thousands of trees, animals, even people disappear
in the bosoms of that cave. The highest underground waterfall
in the Balkan Peninsula is found here. Many bats inhabit this
cave and are law protected. The cave is electrified and passable.
The temperature inside
the cave is about +8°C.
Magurata- one of the most beautiful old caves
with lots of galleries - "Sinister Galleries",
"The concert hall", "The seventh sky", "The
gallery of the drawings", "The gallery of the bats",
etc. One can see here many different karst and glacial forms,
fragments of ancient ceramics, ancient funerals and many more.
Duhlata - the longest cave in Bulgaria -
17 km, placed in Vitosha Mountain.

There are about 4260 caves found in
Bulgaria so far. Everyone of it has its own story. Almost all
of them are explored and are open for the tourists. Many historical
valuables are discovered in our caves; some are rich and beautiful
with their karst forms,
others are mysterious with their
weird natural formations.
Snezhanka - the snow-white cave. Hardly accessible but
exceptionally beautiful with its glacial forms. It is called Snow-White,
because here we can see the figure of this fairy tail heroine,
which misses in the Yagodinska Cave. There are many fireplaces
that date thousands of years ago.
Ledenika - Located in the mountain Stara Planina. There
is multiple number of galleries inside. The glacial forms in the
cave are of a great interest - stalactites, stalagmites dating
thousands of years back in time. A legend says that who dips his
hand in the icy lake and makes a wish, that wish will come true.
Bacho Kiro - there are traces of the life of the primitive
people found in this cave.
